Enterprise context management · from AIEDA Technology

Context is a database, not a window.

Everyone is racing for a bigger context window. The bigger it gets, the more of it is noise to any given prompt. contextista curates your context into topic databases and feeds each prompt only what it actually needs — so answers stay sharp, cost stays low, and the window works for you instead of against you.

The problem

A full window is not a smart window.

Suppose the last 900,000 tokens covered topics A, B, C and D, and now you ask about B. The context about A, C and D is not free to carry along — it costs you four separate ways, on this prompt and every one after it.

01

Quality

Past roughly half a million-token window, prior tokens that have nothing to do with your prompt do not sit there harmlessly — they distract the model and degrade the answer. More context is not more intelligence.

02

Dollars

You are billed for every token in the window, every turn. Ask one question about one topic and you pay to reprocess the 900K tokens about the other nine.

03

Latency

More tokens in means slower tokens out. A bloated window taxes every response with time your users feel, on every single turn.

04

Routing

Heavy prompts get load-balanced differently. The weight of your context can change which infrastructure your job lands on — and how long it waits there.

The industry’s answer is to make the window bigger. That makes all four taxes larger, not smaller. The answer is to put less of the wrong thing in the window — which means knowing what the right thing is.

The platform

Tag it, keep it, select it, tune it.

Four capabilities that turn a session transcript into a managed asset and a managed asset into exactly the right prompt.

TAG

Context gets tagged as it is created

Topics are tagged automatically during a session and after the fact, and you can add your own — including a topic stack you push and pop as the work diverges and returns. Nothing has to be sorted later; the structure accrues as you go.

CURATE

Topics become databases you own

Promote tagged context into durable topic databases. Mine them, aggregate across sessions, silo the sensitive ones. Context stops being a transcript that scrolls away and becomes an asset you keep.

SELECT

Each prompt gets only the context it needs

Turn on dynamic selection and a prompt about one topic pulls that topic’s context — not the nine unrelated ones that happen to share the window. The model sees signal, not history.

TUNE

You control the fidelity, per prompt

Decide how much of each source goes in verbatim, how much as a dense summary, how much sparse — and which topic databases to include whole or in part. Extract, merge, reshape. The window becomes something you compose, not something that just fills up.

What makes it different

Beyond selection — context that knows where it came from.

Curating and selecting context is the floor. The parts below are what make context a living store rather than a smarter clipboard.

Bidirectional breadcrumbs

Every piece of context is linked both ways — to the source of truth it came from and to the derivatives built on it. Follow any claim up to its origin or down to everything that depends on it.

Event-driven re-evaluation

When a source of truth changes, everything downstream that drew on it is flagged for re-evaluation. Context does not silently go stale; it tells you when it has.

Context as a first-class store

Not a cache, not a log. A queryable, structured database of what has been discussed, decided and derived — portable across sessions and across models.

Why it matters

Manage context well and the frontier stops being the point.

The field assumes the path to better output is a bigger window and a newer model. We have found the larger lever is upstream: feed the model the right context and a lagging-edge model holds its own against whatever shipped this week.

<50%

Where quality turns

Past roughly half a large window, unrelated context starts costing you accuracy, not buying you more.

4×

Taxes removed at once

Prune the irrelevant context and quality, cost, latency and routing all improve from the same move.

n−1

Frontier dependence

Good context management lets the previous model do this quarter’s work — on our own stack, we run on it deliberately.

Who it’s for

Built for teams that live past the window.

Enterprise AI teams

Running long, high-stakes sessions where answer quality cannot drift as the window fills.

Platform & infrastructure

Paying the dollar, latency and routing cost of context bloat at scale, every turn, across every team.

Regulated & IP-sensitive work

That needs context siloed, provenanced, and kept on their own infrastructure.

Anyone past the window

Whose sessions routinely run deep enough that half the context is noise to the question at hand.

See it on your own sessions.

Bring a workload that routinely fills the window. We will show you what your context actually contains, how much of it is noise to any given prompt, and what pruning it does to your answers and your bill.
